Mercury the Messenger

Yes, that’s right, for all you astrology followers out there, I said it, Embrace the upcoming Mercury Retrograde, which goes into effect on March 30, 2011 and ends on April 23, 2011.

We’ve always been alerted to the dangers and mishaps that occur when Mercury goes retrograde, including problems with electronics and communication. I’m not doubting that information, I’ve seen it occur first hand and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched businesses attempt upgrades and buy equipment during these periods where I thought to myself, if only they had consulted an astrologer, how much easier this would have gone for them.

What I am saying though, is while good old Merc causes his share of trouble when he goes retro, he also brings a wealth of opportunities and if you understand how the retrograde works, you can use this information to your advantage.

When a retrograde occurs, the effects begin a week before the actual date, so in this case, you’ve already been affected by this cycle since August 13th. Retrogrades bring opportunities to reconnect, revisit, revise, review, reveal, and renew. If there’s someone you’ve been trying to connect with and have been unable to do so, you may find that they appear in your life at this time. If you have an unresolved issue, it may come to an end during this time. It’s a powerful time to review your life and reconsider some of the decisions you’ve made in the past and resolve to change your life in the future. Just wait till the retrograde is over to take the actual actions and make clear decisions and for heaven’s sake, don’t sign any contracts. For now, it’s time to reflect upon your life in a creative, free-flowing, brain storming type of direction.

It’s also a powerful time to relax and renew, a great time to take a break this coming weekend and do something fun and get away. Just make sure to double check those reservations and have your car checked before you travel far and the rest should be smooth sailing.

So the next time you hear about a retrograde coming, mark your calendar so you avoid buying electronics during that period and double check all communications, including taking a deep breath and thinking twice before you blurt your feelings out loud and say something you might regret later. Use this time wisely to relax, unwind and enjoy some quiet time to review the path you’re on and where you’re heading next.

As A Man Thinketh

Early in 2001, while teaching the ancient wisdom teachings to my students, I explained to them that we were going to enter a period of time where in order to evolve as human beings, we were first going to go through a challenging and difficult time where it would seem as if all was lost and that the darkest nature of man would appear in many forms. I went on to explain that from the period of 2007-2014, we would see some of the worst of this lower level energy on display, as we were shifting from the last of a patriarchal age, into a new age of the divine feminine.

Here in 2010, roughly the middle of this difficult time period from 2007-2014, I see and feel how difficult it is for so many people. The economy, the politics, the wars and the mayhem. The news this week of three men knocking down a young woman at a political rally, while one man uses his boot to stomp on her head, giving her a concussion was most upsetting. As we are rallying the cry that we are “helping” women in other countries, we see this horrific display on television, not from overseas, but from right here in the U.S. The man who stomped the woman’s face by the way, is now asking for her to apologize to him.

In the midst of this chaos, it is easy to get caught up in it all and become very upset. This is a decade for great change and a time for action. It is important to remember though, that cooler heads prevail and with conscious forethought, change can occur without having to sink to the lowest levels of mental and emotional reactions.

One of my favorite authors is James Allen, who wrote As A Man Thinketh. His book focuses on the power of thought and how it affects our world. James covers the basic premise here in his quote -

“Mind is the master power that molds and makes, and man is mind, and ever more he takes the tool of thought, and shaping what he wills, brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills. He thinks in secret and it comes to pass; environment is but his looking-glass”.

Author Napoleon Hill also explored the power of thought and its effect on the person and the world by studying some of the most successful people of his time and how they used the power of thought to create their fortunes. He interviewed Andrew Carnegie, Charles Schwab, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Henry Ford, John Rockefeller, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, and 500 more successful men and women, most of whom were millionaires. The result of his research was shared in his book, Think and Grow Rich. Napoleon called his teachings, ‘The Philosophy of Achievement’. His intent was not just to show people how to become financially successful, but to show them how to achieve anything they placed their thoughts on. Perhaps one of the most defining examples, was his own son, Blair, who was born without ears and was told by doctors he would never hear or speak, but he grew up to do both very well.

I bring up the teachings of Napoleon Hill and James Allen today as a reminder that no matter what we are seeing around us and no matter how difficult things may appear to be today, we have the ability and the power to make the changes we wish to see in our world. Many of us “know” this already, but at times, we can use a gentle reminder that we are powerful creators, not power-less against what is going on in the world around us.

Open to the Light Energy

‘In every woman there is a Queen. Speak to the Queen and the Queen will answer.’ - Norwegian proverb

In the wisdom teachings of the Divine Feminine, there are certain earth cycles, which open a gateway between the higher planes of existence and the earth plane. These moments of enhanced connection allow us to view the rhythm and timing of the goddess in her form as mother nature. As the traditions of the Goddess and Divine Feminine resurge in the light again, it’s time to celebrate. The powerful life-affirming magic of Spring is around the corner. Should you wish to change something in your life, this is the moment to set that intention and ask for your dream to bloom, grow and rejuvenate.

We are experiencing one of these magical moments this week, marked as the mid-way point of the season of Winter around February 2nd. This celebration is most popularly known by the Celtic reference of Imbolc. Imbolc, a gaelic word, means in-milk, derived from the gaelic pronunciation ‘oimelc’, meaning ewe’s milk.

While Imbolc is the most well known celebration of this holiday, its origins stem from a powerful universal wisdom teaching known as – ‘As Within, So Without’.

During the barren frozen winter days of early February in western Europe, the celebration of Imbolc was a symbol of hope and represented the good things to come. When surveying the landscape (without), everything appeared bleak, and lifeless yet (within) the dairy animals, hints of Spring were returning as the animals began to lactate and milk began to flow again.

There is a Goddess assigned to this quickening and universally she symbolizes the seeds of life planted (within) the earth and within each person and how when nurtured and cared for, they blossom (without) producing the life affirming milk and awakening of life and hope.

In the Celtic celebration, the Goddess is known as Brigid, also spelled as Brighid. Brigid is revered as the Goddess of healing, writing and prosperity. As a solar goddess, she represents the fire and light that burns within each living being and how when cared for, this eternal light creates inner healing, restores vital energy and stirs life within. She is also represented in the phases of the Goddess as the maiden and the bride. Wise women around the world work with this goddess energy, helping others to launch new projects and beginnings, to stimulate powerful healing energies within the body and perform weddings, as this is the most advantageous day of the year to be married.

Brigid is referred to as the bride, which in modern times is recognized in the form of a young woman being joined in matrimony. This is but one derivative of the wisdom teaching and rituals. The Goddess Brigid is recognized as one of the Queens of Heaven who is being transmuted during this time and reborn. The Wise Woman of Winter, who has journeyed deep within herself during the darkest days of winter, is now ready to emerge and be reborn as the Young Maiden. This maiden carries the hope and promise of new life along with the wisdom and discernment of the wise women, giving herself the gift of intuition, healing, abundance and love. She is a bride of the light, participating in her own unification of this energy in a marriage ceremony of the heart and mind.

There are Seven Sacred Ways to Connect with the Energy of Imbolc and the Goddess:

1. On February 2nd, light candles and lamps in the home to welcome the return of the Light. Yellow, white and orange candles are the best colors to use. As you light each candle, focus your energy with the flame and ask that the light burn clear and bright, bringing clarity to the home, burning off any residual gloom or negative energy within the home.
   
2. White flowers symbolize the purity within and the promise of blooming to come. Place a beautiful bouquet in the heart area of your home and breathe deeply into the flowers, allowing their essence and fragrance to be experienced by all of your senses.
3. Reminiscent of the milk flowing, sharing dairy products is abundant, the most popular choice being milk chocolate. Hot chocolate warms the body and when stirring the chocolate, imbibe the mix with loving thoughts and warmth.
4. Place a silk ribbon or piece of fabric on a window sill, often referred to as Brighid’s Mantle. It is said overnight, it will be blessed with the healing, intuitive and abundant energy flowing at this time. Use this fabric to wrap your deck of tarot cards, to wrap herbs in or create a special pouch to hold treasured items.
5. Leave an offering outdoors of bread for birds and other small creatures who may be having a difficult time finding sustenance in the barren landscape. While outdoors in the cold, give thanks to the beauty surrounding you. Stand with your feet firmly grounded to the earth and raise your arms in the air, bring the light from above around you and allow it to flow deep within you.
6. Gather the seeds that you will be planting in your Spring garden. Hold your hands over the seeds and ask for the energy of the Goddess within to bless the seeds and nurture them. Take a small quartz crystal and charge this crystal with the same intention. When planting these seeds in the spring, plant the quartz crystal into the earth next to the seeds.
7. Reflect on the seeds of thought you planted in the Fall within yourself and the goals you are affirming in this new year. Ask for the quickening of the seeds within you, that they may blossom and grow. Take a quartz crystal and charge this crystal with the same intention. Keep this crystal on your desk or in a spot where it will remind you of your goals and intentions.

The Goddess in her many forms, teaches by example through nature. Use this time wisely, as it creates a sacred opportunity to plant new seeds of thought in the mind and heart. In the circle of life, there are adversities (within and without), representing a time of darkness and Winter, which are always overcome through the journey. The return to the light in the Spring, offers the opportunity to be reborn and move forward on the path, having learned from the time of adversity. Offerings of gratitude are given at this time to one’s adversaries, as they represent lessons and growth opportunities in disguise.

Evergreens and Light at Yule

Do you know the history and origin of Christmas? The traditions that you hold near and dear may not be as old as you think they are. Early Christians didn’t celebrate birthdays and the actual birth date of Jesus is still unknown. Some astrologers and historians have surmised that the location of the star over Bethlehem and the presence of lambs in the story represent a spring birth, but the actual date was never recorded. (For more information on this topic, check out my interview with Courtney Roberts, about her book and research on The Star of the Magi on the Explore Your Spirit with Kala Show)

The origin of this holiday comes from over 2000 years ago, originating in Northern Europe. The holiday began as a pagan tradition known as Yule, which was celebrated for 12 days.  During this time, Scandinavian people celebrated the Norse God Odin, a bearded god who flew through the air on a horse and handed out gifts. The Pagan Romans held a seven-day festival of Saturnalia beginning on December 17th, which included the celebration of the God Mithras, who was born on December 25th. They exchanged gifts, enjoyed feasts and once this festival culminated, the New Year festivities began. Are any of these customs beginning to sound familiar?

Yule is a festival of light, with twelve days of feasting and public celebrations. A large Yule log was kept burning throughout the twelve days to symbolize the returning of the light and the Sun after the darkest day of the year on Winter Solstice.  Later candles were added to keep the light burning, along with oil burning in lamps to symbolize the eternal light. Modern day examples of how we celebrate these pagan traditions today include candles in the windows of our home and what we now call Christmas lights, which we hang on a Christmas tree (our modern adaptation of the yule log and evergreen branches that the ancient Europeans brought into their homes).

In the 4th century, Rome changed from a pagan society to a Christian society and the church began to replace and absorb pagan traditions. Since there was already a holiday in place to celebrate the birth of the God Mithras, the decision was made to switch this birthday and dedicate the day as a symbolic birth date for Jesus. The Roman Catholic Church holds a ritualistic midnight mass for this event, which became Christ’s Mass, i.e. Christmas.

Like many pagan traditions under siege in the attempt to be absorbed and overwritten by the church, the campaign was met with mixed success. The European people continued their own traditional pagan celebrations and simply added the new religious connotations into the mix.  Over the centuries, the festivals, feasts, gift giving and celebrations continued including the adoption of medieval carolers who went door to door singing while enjoying a cup of alcoholic punch at each stop.

The festivals continued in this manner until around the 17th century when Protestant reformers decided that Christmas should be banned. Their reasoning was based on the premise that the holidays was built upon pagan traditions, which were then further embellished by the Catholic church with the adopted birthday celebration on December 25th. Both traditions, the pagan revelry and the Catholic traditions, were customs that they wanted no part of and they were able to ban Christmas in England. This only lasted for a few years, but many people who held this protestant belief moved during the 17th century to America, the New World and brought their religious beliefs with them. They were the Puritan settlers who formed the colony of Massachusetts. In 1659, they banned Christmas as a holiday in Massachusetts.  As new settlers including Catholics, Pagans, the Irish, Scottish, Dutch and others with moderate religious beliefs migrated to America establishing colonies in New York, Virginia and other Atlantic states, they brought their Christmas traditions and festivities with them and the celebration of Christmas was restored in the U.S.

How do we celebrate Christmas today? According to the History Channel’s documentary, The Real Story of Christmas, the preservation and evolution is credited to two influential Americans. The first is Clement Moore, who in 1822 wrote Twas the Night Before Christmas, which gave inspiration to new customs for the holiday, based on old world traditions. Moore combined the white bearded Norse God Odin who flew through the air handing out gifts with St. Nicholas, a 4th century Catholic Bishop who was known for gift giving in stockings and the two were then melded with Sinter Klaas, the Dutch version of St. Nicholas. Odin was known as the God of Thunder and was said to have flown on a horse with eight legs. Moore substituted Odin’s eight-legged horse into eight reindeer, which he gave individual names including Donner, which means thunder, and Blitzen, which means lightning.  He also combined old European stories of elves, making Santa Claus a wizard like magical elf.

The second influential figure was Thomas Nast, a famous illustrator who created the images of the donkey and the elephant for the Republican and Democratic parties and created the image of Uncle Sam.  In 1862, Nast took Moore’s poetic descriptions of Santa and drew the illustration of Santa Claus. He changed the image of Santa Claus from a smaller elf into a full size elf man with a white beard. He also created the concept of St. Nick’s naughty or nice list. (A lesser-known fact about St. Nicholas was that the original story of St. Nicholas said that when he visited houses, he was followed by a demon named Krampus who punished bad children). Nast glossed over this story by creating a gentler naughty or nice list. Nast also captivated his audience by capturing the growing sentiment of this time where children were becoming the focus of the family and thus Santa Claus was very attentive to children, bringing them gifts.

From the light filled traditions and festivals of the ancient Europeans, to the migration of Odin into Santa Claus and the bringing in of the evergreens from Northern Europe morphing into the Christmas tree, Christmas as a holiday has continued to evolve. The Industrial Revolution provided the opportunity for a variety of good and products to become mass produced and accessible to consumers and soon after, gift giving for the holiday began in earnest and became the American staple of the holiday that is widely celebrated today.

The holiday season continues to mix old and new, with a rise of neo-paganism bringing a resurgence of old traditions. This along with a growing distaste of Black Friday shopping complete with people fighting and trampling others over bargain gifts and thousands of Americans going into debt each year with over the top gift giving, may stimulate an entire new series of traditions and festivities in the 21st century.

Your seeds of thought planted wisely blossom in creative Spring

During the Thanksgiving holiday, we gather to celebrate and appreciate the abundance in our lives. As we look across the Thanksgiving table at the annual harvest we’ve collected, we find that it includes our family, our friendships, our career, and our love relationships. When reviewing what we’ve experienced this year, it becomes remarkably clear that we are a sum of many parts and that each of these parts are interconnected with each person we meet.

Each relationship strengthens us and allows us to stretch beyond our boundaries in ways we may not have imagined. The spiritual connection on which this energy travels, links our relationships with each person we interact with. Whether or not we are aware of these connections when they occur, the ripple effect from the thoughts, emotions and actions from that moment forward become part of who we are and shapes our destiny.

In the fall season, we focus on reflection (looking at what we’ve accomplished thus far this year), connection (spending the holidays with family and friends) and introspection (tuning in to our spirit and our hopes and dreams). During this season, let us take the time to say a prayer of gratitude for all the bountiful good in our lives.  The energy in each prayer is powerful and sends ripples of white light energy around the planet and surrounds each person that we include in our prayers. One of the greatest wisdom teachings shared is to remember how powerful each of us are and how much energy is behind each prayer, especially when conscious thought is focused with the prayer.

When you pray, speak the words aloud, visualize the intent and direct the energy toward your intention. With careful focus and direction, a prayer can move mountains.

One of the most powerful ways to activate a prayer is to first say it out loud and to then put it immediately into action. Visualize the prayer and then consider how you can live in sync with the prayer in your daily actions. Then turn this prayer into your vision statement, so that you can live and act according to the prayer that you wish to see come to fruition.

One of the courses that I teach to students who study the ancient wisdom teachings with me is the history of holidays and the connections to the seasons. They always find it interesting when I discuss the date of January 1st, which we now toast as the New Year, yet it falls in the dead of winter.  If one were working with the elements and magic of nature, would it not make more sense to make resolutions and plant seeds in the fall, so that they would have time to germinate and sprout forth in the spring?  When one makes a resolution and plants that seed of thought in the dead of winter, there is little warmth and light to nurture these thoughts and it is no surprise to many of us, that the new year resolutions are dead and gone only a few weeks afterwards, as there was no nourishment for the seeds to ‘take hold’.

The power of thought and manifestation allows us to create and form our dreams in our mind so that we can then take action to bring these dreams to fruition. The season of fall represents this time for our seeds of thought to be planted in our mind, so we can give them some contemplation and introspection.

A powerful and reaffirming way to bring action to your prayers, hopes and dreams is to bring them to life by creating your very own field of dreams seed planting ceremony with friends.

Here’s how to create a seed planting ceremony to be enjoyed with friends and family:

Invite friends to celebrate and make resolutions for the New Year this fall. Have each person share their dreams with the group and how they hope to achieve them. Then hand out packages of seeds along with little clay pots filled with soil to each of your guests and invite them to plant new seeds of thought this fall, which will manifest and bloom with their dreams in the spring.  Use a toothpick and a small strip of white paper to make a sign that sticks in your clay pot and write one word that describes the dream you wish to manifest.

If it’s not too late to plant bulbs in your backyard, dig a small hole and plant a bulb for each person to hold the energy of their resolutions and dreams. When the bulbs bloom in the spring, they become a powerful reminder of the time and energy it takes for dreams to manifest and that with care and action, they bloom! Don’t forget that you can also plant your old carved pumpkins into the ground with your bulbs, as they make great compost.

In this act, you are aligning with the Divine. Your body, mind and spirit, are becoming a temple in which the prayers, hopes and dreams are able to come through and manifest into life.

My action prayer and vision statement for my work on Explore Your Spirit and as a teacher of the wisdom teachings is this: “Spirit does not exist in just one location; rather it is all encompassing, living within and amongst us in each moment, thought and action. I believe that Spirit is raised to its highest level, when individuals gather with wisdom, compassion and a discerning desire to provide service to humanity”.

With this prayer in mind, I invite you in this season of thanksgiving, abundance and gratitude, to say a prayer, give thanks and then become the action that you wish to see made manifest in your prayers and dreams.

The Spirit of Fall and Halloween offer rich traditions and opportunities to connect with nature and the spirit world. Perhaps it’s time to open up to the possibilities…. ao join me as I bring you mystical and magical tradition-filled ways to celebrate and embrace the spirit of the season.

Let’s begin with a brief history. Did you know that Halloween is one of the oldest holidays recorded, with its roots dating back to the Celts and Druids over 2000 years ago? The Celtic priests and people celebrated October 31st as the end of the year and November 1st was celebrated as the New Year, as they had completed an agricultural cycle in nature that culminated with the last of their harvest in October. They called this festival Samhain, which roughly translated means summer’s end and it was celebrated over a three day period.

On the eve of October 31st, the veil between the earth world and the spirit world grows thin and the spirits of the dead are easier to communicate with, along with other beings from the spiritual realms. Rituals were established to communicate with the other side as well as to create protection from unwanted visitors from these realms who could walk on the earth plane on this eve. The Celts were not the only group to celebrate this ritual, the Romans had a similar festival to honor the dead as well as many other cultures around the world. The end result of what we see today as the celebration of Halloween has come from these rituals, including wearing costumes to blend in so as not to be detected by other-worldly beings who walk the earth plane on this night.

Later, as the Roman empire and Catholic church worked to eradicate pagan beliefs and holidays from being celebrated and acknowledged, the calendar was changed to the Julian calendar, which then moved the celebration of the New Year to January 1st  and the church worked to make November 1st a holiday known as All Saints Day.  This is only one of many holidays that were rewritten by the church over the years. Try as they might though, they were never able to remove the celebration of All Hallows Eve and the celebration of the veil being lifted between this world and the spirit world, and so the holiday of Halloween has remained.

The history of holidays is one of the courses that I teach to students who study the ancient wisdom teachings with me. The Julian calendar by the way, has been replaced in most countries by the Gregorian calendar, enforced by Pope Gregory in 1582, because the calculatons of the calendar were off and the church needed to reform the calendar to connect with the moon cycle of the spring equinox, so that it could celebrate Easter on the equinox. Neither the Julian or Gregorian calendar works very well, as both moved away from a moon cycle to a sun cycle to count the days and to compensate with this change, events have to be juggled including shortening the month of February to 28 days and throwing in a leap year every four years to adjust. This calendar is out of rhythm with the cycles of the earth and nature and many cultures follow a different calendar system. As well, many are returning back to the 13 moons natural time calendar.

This is why many who understand the old ways in balance with nature, celebrate the New Year on November 1st and in some groups it is known as Witches New Year.

Let’s move on to modern day events. Did you know that in the early 20th century, Halloween was celebrated by adults in the U.S. with lavish and elaborate parties and children were rarely involved in the festivities?  We have the Irish to thank for bringing many of the traditions with them as they moved to the US in the end of the 19th century and the customs of Halloween began to spread across America. Beginning in the 1920′s, it became very popular for adults to create very elaborate halloween costume parties and masquerade balls, the likes of which are only beginning to reappear today.  The great depression brought an end to these elaborate celebrations, along with WWII.  In the 1950′s, the celebration of Halloween on a large scale reappeared and this time the focus was on a holiday for children. The custom of Trick or Treating was established to connect neighbors and communities closer together as the baby boom era had created a focus on raising children.

The trends of the 21st century are returning to an adult style celebration with masquerade balls, costume parties and decor including animated characters and houses decorated and transformed into haunted castles and mansions. Halloween is the second most popular holiday celebrated in the US, Christmas rings in at number one.

With this in mind dear readers, I offer the first idea in our series of magically inspired ideas…

My name is Dana and I live in Sonoma, California. My husband is convinced that I throw off energy fields that affect electronics and I am beginning to believe he’s right. I find if I’m particularly stressed with work, I will have computer issues. Today I was turning on the TV for my son and our DVR in our bedroom went dead. We went into his room and the same thing happened. When I walked out of the room it rebooted. I came back in and sat down and it went dead. I left and it rebooted! Also since childhood I have had dreams that come true. Most often they are about something bad or negative that is going to happen, almost a warning. Am I losing my mind or is there some kind of negative energy I’m emitting?

Hi Dana,

Thanks for writing. You ask, Could your energy affect the electronics in your home? The shortest answer is Yes, it can. Your husband appears to be very perceptive in noticing the correlations between the events and your energy field.

As a psychic, I see the aura around people, which is a flexible field of energy around the body with many layers. The level closest to your body, is described as the etheric body and in a sense, it’s the battery of the body, receiving and emiting electrical impulses in and out from your body. You bring energy in and you release energy, all through the auric body. There are many layers extending outward from the etheric body including the mental layer and the emotional layer, both of which are also energy fields where we store and emit energy and we bring this energy into and down into the physical body from these layers.

Energy flows through and around us

With our hectic lifestyles and fast paced life, we often aren’t able to release pent up energy from inside of us and it builds up until in a sense, it erupts outward to release.  For some people, they release this in bursts of anger, others cry when the energy builds up to a certain level, and some people release it with a nervous energy (examples include: hair twirling, fidgety hands, and rocking the legs while sitting). For some people, who also tend to be more connected with the spiritual planes, they release this pent up energy in a wave, I refer to it as an energy blast, which can affect the environment around them.  One way that these people begin to notice this effect, is that they will find when walking or driving by street lights, that the lights will go off or turn on when they pass by. If this has happened to you, you are releasing energy.

In your case, were you and I meeting in the physical, I could read your aura which would tell me about the energy around you and what has been building up inside and what layers are holding the energy build up– in the mental, emotional, physical or higher levels.  Let me also say, that just because energy is building up, it doesn’t mean that it is necessarily negative by the way.  I build up energy all the time to use for creative endeavors in my work and this energy creates great waves that allow me to accomplish a lot at the same time. This energy is a gift and used wisely, can be extremely helpful. It typically requires some instruction though, to learn how to build and cultivate this energy, which is what I teach as as an esoteric wisdom teacher and describe in chapter four of my book 9 Life Altering Lessons –  ‘We are a sea of energy, floating in vibratory fields’.

The current over-abundance of energy that you are emitting, can affect lights and other electronics when released in a quick blast. Think of it as an energy surge.  Typically this indicates that you are not aware of the energy you are releasing and so it comes as a surprise when an electronic device is affected.  For many people, they emit this energy the strongest when they are agitated, stressed or in a high emotional state (positive or negative). The next time this happens, stop right away and ask yourself, how am I feeling, what’s on my mind right now? Also ask your husband what he has noticed each time it happens. Gather this information and you will be able to discern what the triggers are that set off your energy spikes.  You mention that you have noticed that it occurs when you very stressed. The next time that you find the stress building in you while working, take a moment to step away and take a few deep breaths, pulling clear, cool air into your body, down into your lungs and hold it there for a moment. Then release the air fully through your mouth and visualize the stress leaving your body through the air you are expelling. Do this three times and notice how different you feel after just doing this for a minute. It won’t take away the work you have at hand, but physically, you will feel more relaxed and able to tackle the project at hand without the stress building up as high in your body and in your energy fields.

The good news is, you’re a highly intuitive being, who is connecting through the many energetic levels in your auric body. This means you have a healthy working aura and if you choose, you can learn more about how to harness this energy and use it in a creative and loving way. I’m currently writing a book about the aura and energy fields and the effect of these fields on each person. Over the past decade, I have seen the energy fields expanding and I believe we will begin to see greater activity within these fields, which some describe currently as paranormal activity. In the future as we evolve as a species, more of these unsolved mysteries will be commonplace and considered to be a natural sixth sense, rather than a supernatural one.
